RE: Lil Banchee 3D

I have one with a hacker A20-20l and I can't imagine what it would be with a Park 480 in it. My MUS has a 480 and I almost never give it full throttle.

I love the LB, but I'm very unhappy with...

RE: Mini Super Sportster Upgrades

One other thing, after flying about 2/3 of the pack up, both the motor and pack are cool to the touch.

RE: Mini Super Sportster Upgrades

Slo-V

I'm using an Eflite 480 1020kv outrunner with a 1050 APC "E" prop, Commonsense 3s 1500 15c pack, and Phoenix 25 ESC.

The plane weighs about 23 oz. and the motor is good for 275 watts,...

RE: Mini Super Sportster Upgrades

Well, I have about 6 flights on the MSS now and I love this little plane. It will take off and do all the manuevers at 1/2 throttle, WFO it goes straight up like a rocket. Nice big loops, beautiful...

RE: BRUSHLESS MINI SPORTSTER

Here are some pix of the motor mount I used to mount an Eflite 480 1020kv in mine. I have a Phx 25 ESC and 1500 mah pack.

First park flyer?

With your experience, look at the Mountain Models Tantrum or Miniflash, or the Hangover from Aerolock Models

GWS Funny Park?

BadDawg
Try a higher output pack. I use an 8x750 mah NiMH AAA pack and mine is a hoot to fly. I had to split and hinge the cowl so that I could put the pack in thru the firewall. This plane will fly...

GWS Funny Park?

badDawg;
Some questions;

Where is your CG?
Did you use the supplied modeling clay?
What battery are you using?
Mine flys just fine, loops, rolls, etc.
I did have to redo the battery mounting,...

Electric with ailerons

I can attest to what Doug said. His Switchback kit was the easiest balsa kit I have ever built, and the dandy is as easy to build or easier, from what I hear.

Battery for Slow Stick

Don't use a Zagi battery with a stock prop. A friend of mine found out the hard way. Fried his motor.

New GWS Funny Park

John,
If you don't have a big back yard, I think the FP would be no fun. The SS will take off in about 4 feet and has a very long glide. In my opinion, looks are secondary to the fun factor. My SS...

Beyone GWS TM

If you want to build a real easy balsa kit, get the Switchback Sport from Mountain Models. Almost builds itself, and one of the sweetest 4 channel planes you'll ever see. Then when you want awesome...

New GWS Funny Park

Depends on your experience and what kind of flying you want to do. They are 2 entirely different concepts. The SS will fly itself, you have to fly the FP. You can just throw the SS together, you have...

Ailerons are kickin my Butt!

To start set your aileron throws very, very low, then halve that. Don't try rolls, loops, etc. until you can fly a circle turning right, then turning left(or vice versa), then a fig. 8. Once you get...

What size is the prop nut for the GWS Mustang?

It's a 3mm. I got a bunch at my local hardware store. About a dime apiece.

need help with wiring

It's a buncha fun to fly. I threw away the stock motor because the prop kept flying off. I tried an IPS and it was underpowered, then I put a GWS 100-c in it and it works great.
You need a smooth...

Also, don't overlook the SR Batteries Cutie, Bantam or Bantam Bipe. Balsa buildups, and very nice planes.

Slow Stick battery question

I say replace all those connectors on anything under 10A with Deans Mini Polarized. They won't wear out as fast as the GWS JST-type.

MM Switchback

Aeroman,

Where do you live in Venezuela? I spent about a year cruising the north coast on a 44' ketch. Spent a lot of time in Puerto La Cruz.

Bent slowstick fuse

Cincy:

If it's too bent to use, call Horizon and ask for customer support, then GWS support. Tell them your problem and they'll send you a replacement.
