RE: Jets Over Kentucky 2013

Awesome! Is there a entrance fee? When looking through the information, all I saw were registration fees for pilots.

RE: Jets Over Kentucky 2013

Does Jets Over Kentucky allow spectators? Or is it pretty much a pilots only type of event. I'd love to spend a day or two watching you guys fly those amazing machines. We don't see a whole lot of...

RE: why are tires so expensive?

Yes, that's about right for tires and postage.... TO AUSTRALIA!!!

You're looking at about $47 shipped for a set of hostile slicks to anywhere in the U.S. That's retail. I usually never buy new...

RE: why are tires so expensive?

I keep seeing this and thinking, "Really?! He's destroying tires on 2s?"

It's like others have said, reglue the tires and use a new lock nut (or pick up the aluminum hexes depending on which hex...

RE: MT tires or lack thereof!

I've never really thought about it, but now that you bring it up, that's a good point. I wouldn't mind seeing hostile and others make MT tires.

RE: 30.5 will not start.

Like tapkoote said, you could strip the needles by cranking on them too hard. If you're turning the needles all the way in, just go until you meet resistance. You don't need to turn them in hard. The...

RE: Sorry for doing this but another Redcat question

Last I saw, they had a v3, and that was a while ago, so it's entirely possible that there's a v4 by now.

RE: I think the Inline Twin motors are great..But

If I lived in a fantasy world where I had $9k to spend on an engine and didn't care about blowing it up, I'd race it against my pet cheetah while beautiful women tell me how handsome I am.

RE: Announcement: Redcat X-SC

A sub $500 dollar 1/5 vehicle is going to have some issues that are going to pop up. Luckily, most issues that you're likely to come across have some sort of low budget solution that has been thought...

RE: Rejuvenating your brake pads?

There you go. That was it. It wasn't old tires, it was old car brake pads.

RE: Rejuvenating your brake pads?

That's true. As I do a little more research, I'm realizing that plasti dip in particular would probably not work. I'm still interested to know if there is something similar that would work. I'm not...

Rejuvenating your brake pads?

It's time to replace the brake pads on my baja. Right now I'm running the vertigo triple brake pad setup. I was wondering if anybody has used a type of spray on rubber material like plasti dip to...

RE: Lauterbacher Super Sprint LS3-STOLEN

I can see where he's coming from. I often work on other peoples' (friends/family) computers. It's much more relaxing to just take their tower home with me and work on it in the comfort of my own home...

RE: HPI Baja Pull-Start Question

The nice thing is, even if you do break the string it's not a big deal. I had one pull start where the cord was fraying pretty bad and eventually broke. Went to the store, bought some generic rope...

RE: New HPI 1/8 Gassers

This seems to come up every time that 1/5 gassers are mentioned anywhere. I don't get why it matters. As far as them sounding like dirt bikes, I guess I can hear it. I suppose it's no more delusional...

RE: What is with Marketplace engine prices?

Your analogy isn't quite correct. It'd be more like asking 50% off brand new food or merchandise from your neighbor who bought the food or merchandise from a food store or mall. Your analogy would...

RE: Help Needed: Losi 5ive-T or Baja 5SC

I would have to imagine the hpi wins in parts support. Isn't the 5sc like 90% 5b? And the 5b has plenty of parts support.

RE: Turnigy Titian 1/5 scale 4X4

Do you think you'll need the nutech center drive cups, or do you think the stock ones will be compatible? I ask because bentley marshall had mentioned that as a possibility.

RE: Advice on 1st 1/5 scale

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove with this statement.

Driving in high powered circles. Sounds like a blast. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on our definition of "fun."
