RE: Possible new truggy and need advice <br>

Which is better, having a car that several others have for when you need parts or having a car that doesn't break? ZMXT-8 is quality. I bought 2 z-car buggies with the second one intended to be used...

RE: The LRP/SH Engines Z-Car ZMXB-8 thread

I love the Z-car buggy. It handles and jumps great. Best of all...it's tough as nails. I stopped counting how many gallons I have into it after 15. The only broken part is a rear cvd. The only...

RE: what brand produces best quality.

+1 for the sh engines zmxb-8 (z-car). Their quality is great. 2nd choice would be the x-ray.

RE: Official RC10T4 Thread

Whether bashing or racing I would upgrade to RPM front A-arms. For racing, I would upgrade to RPM ball cups, titanium turnbuckles, and swap out the dogbones for CVD's. The T4 tranny is rock solid but...

RE: Need help with my T4??

I added an ounce (1/2 each side) in the rear corners of the chasis. I run a Novak Light motor which is 17 grams lighter than other motors. I also run Lipo which is much lighter than 6 cell NIMH...

RE: AE b4 or associated t4 coverted to j82

I havent driven the J82 (just being honest) but I would go with the T4 and J82 Conversion Kit. The J82 seems like it would be more fun but if your planning on racing, I would find out what your...

Novak HV Conversion

Anyone running a Novak HV Conversion in an 8th scale buggy or truggy? I'm curious about power and run times. I'm hesitant to do an electric conversion until ROAR and other regulating bodies install...

RE: truggy spoiler on a associated t4?

JConcepts J82 conversion kit. I think you can buy just the rear spoiler instead of getting the whole kit

RE: Fiber Glass Sheet

I spent a little time working at a boat yard doing fiberglass hull repair. You can try a place which sells auto or boat repair supplies.

RE: Castle Creations more reliable than Novak?

I do have 1 criticism of Novak motors. The cans are made of a highly reflective metal which give off inacurate temp readings. Novak has advised me to attach a non reflective decal to counter this...

RE: Castle Creations more reliable than Novak?

A companies customer service is important, but not as much as the quality of products they put out. My Novak ESC has held up great. My 1st Novak motor was a 10.5 and it quit after a few wks. I may...

RE: ready to race

RCProSeries refers to truggys as "stadium trucks" and 10th scale stadium trucks (rc10gt, t4, etc.) as trucks. While your definition may have confused some (including myself) technically it wasnt...

RE: Battery Question?

I'm uncertain as to how Lipos got a bad rep regarding safety. Perhaps its from improper charging when Lipos 1st hit the market? I bought my Lipos and charger from reputable manufacturers, followed...

RE: Want to move from electric to Nitro

Both redcats ive seen (8th and 10th scale buggies) are well built. As with any nitro, break it in properly and dont run the motor too lean and it should last a long time.

RE: Which one is better?

I answered the question AND gave my opinion towards an alternative option. Both of which were far more "helpful" than your criticism.

RE: Traxxas Rustler VXL Help with Battery Selection

I would go 3300mah or higher with NIMH batteries. The SMC ENERG 4600mah are currently the best NIMH batteries IMO. They have a 4600 sport pack which is not very expensive. A few good sources for...

RE: Want to move from electric to Nitro

IMO if your going Nitro, go with an 8th scale buggy or truggy. 10th scale will get smoked by a brushless/lipo set up. My 7.5 turn brushless gets nearly 30min with a 5000mah and 45min with an 8000mah...

RE: Which one is better?

Of the 4 options you gave us to chose from I would get the MM5700. Then I would sell it and continue using my Novak sensored system.

RE: Which one?

They both have their pros and cons. It depends on what scale (size) and where (track, back yard, street, parking lot, etc.) and budget.
Scale...1/10th Electric is the way to go. 1/8th Nitro...

RE: NIMH VS. LIPO

NIMH POSITIVES...In a 5 min race, a good NIMH battery can perform similarly to a LIPO with the same mah. The initial cost is lower.
LIPO POSITIVES...Runtime. I get nearly 30min with a 5000mah and...
