RE: telemaster 40

As previously stated, CG is on the main spar. I would make sure the nose dips a bit and then work with the corrections from there. This is a sweet plane, specially with flaps. Mine had a Royal .40...

RE: Slimline Sport Scale I Muffler O.S. .61 SF & .61 SF ABC,need help

I did the same as the previous poster stated on one of my slimline mufflers. Just drill, tap and install the nipple and connect your line to it. Not a problem at all.

RE: Please tell me about WorldTex coverings

It's been a while and I recently got back into the hobby. If WorldTex is is the same stuff put out by BUSA then its great. I used it years ago on my big Citabria. If you think Monokote is good, wait...

RE: Airfield Etiquette - Was I Wrong?

I know that I would be distracted if I'm flying and someone else is taxing around like a go kart, specially close to my feet. I don't like props hitting me, they cause PAIN and expensive doctor...

My 1/4 scale Cub and Citabria all have standard servos for each aileron and rudder and throttle. The elevators on both planes use the stronger larger size servo which is over 100 oz. torque.
My...

What did you use to make the panel lines and rivets? They look great. Have you experienced any peeling or gumming of the paint around the pitt muffler exhaust area? Did you use the Rustolium...

RE: Prop Bitten

Sorry to hear about your injury. It seems that no matter how careful one can be, an accident can happen. I have gotten bitten 3 times, once by a 25 glow, once by a 40 glow and once by a big 120...

RE: Ryobi 31 and giant stik or cub?

Why would it not be suitable for a 1/4 scale Cub? My buddy has a BUSA Cub he built years ago and one of the motors he mounted on was a 25cc conversion which powered it just fine. As long as the plane...

RE: anyone used a weed eater motor

I have a couple from weedeaters my neighbor got tired of. One is a 19CC and the other is a 25CC. I gave them both to my buddy who stripped all the unnecessary metal, including turning the flywheel on...

RE: tape

But the auto store tapes are not fuel proof. So how can you keep the tape from coming loose from exposure to glow fuel?

RE: telemaster 40

The CG is on the main spar, and make it a bit nose heavy for starters. I had one many years ago. I had it set up as a taildragger with flaps, and powered it with a K&B 40. It was a blast to fly. On a...

RE: Goldberg Cub Fiberglass Cowl

You're welcome Cougar, glad to help. I figured that at $13.99 it wasn't a bad deal, and the original plastic cowl lasted me two minor crashes and 15 years of use. I also dumped the original flimsy...

RE: Chatty Kathy at the Field

I think Dorsal has a point. He may just want to be 'one of the guys' but hes just rushing it and using the wrong approach. I would let him vent and eventually he should slow down. Years ago I...

RE: Are wooden props more safer?

I agree. Years ago I got hit by a wooden prop on my 120 4 stroke and ended up with 5 stitches on one finger and 3 on another. The ER doctor told me that if it would have been a plastic or fiberglass...

RE: DIY .40 Test Stand

I use lumber from left over projects and mill them down to dimentions. I mostly use left over pieces of 2x4's, and 2x2's long enough to be clamped to my portable work table. When it gets too oily I...

Anyone making a Fi-156 Kit?
