yeah hobdean this isn't 1976 if you want an electric Losi 8ight I'd suggest you buy the nitro 8ight rtr and sell the parts you don't need(engine, pipe, starter box, etc.), and convert it to electric....

These links are all for ready-to-roll packages. They provide radio, servos, engine, the basics, pretty much all you'd need is gas. If you can bare the higher price, 1/8 scale is the way to go in...

Check out the Sig Somethin' Extra. It has a "low" wing and makes a great second plane. Get as a kit and build it. That's half the fun right there to me and it will save you about half off the price....
