So to get into the nut and bolts of this the foil needs to be forward of the step and well underwater to get good lift it maybe that i shall have a go at this [&:]

That is spot on a Lake Buckaneer doing just what the north star needs some one give it a go I not sure about the landings with foils down maybe they need to be retractable

have you got any mates with later model J R radio.s that you can try there RX moduel in your apex and see it it works if so then i see no reason why spekrun or jr 2.40 moduel will work.

When you start improving the the water break on take off that will go against you on landing as the NS will always balloon if you are above stall on touch down so less drag on the hull will just help...

landing the NS is a breeze if you stall it in. They will not drop a wing on stall they just pitch up the nose untill they stop flying if you hold them just off the water you will get a perfect...

Thanks Jeffo for your feed back i do have a 4500 but weight of it will be a huge penalty and i still have not worked out how to section it but i'm sure the wing cord is thick enough to take a carbon...

Hi9 Guy's here in NZ we are just heading into our winter months when the temp is around 5deg celus and the wind goes away for longer periods. I can get my N Star out for our flyin . I've owned 5 now...

Well you have done well have you got a weight as it is should be 4>5 lbs but heavier will not worrie the flight much just the sink on landing forget mowing the back lawn and get on the water soon...

Is your muffler blocked does the motor sound quiter. try removing muffler and see if your rev.s increase .if you have used the wrong type oil or to high a mix ratio the muffler could be blocked ...

HI all from New Zealand I have had 3 Northstars now unfortunately my luck runs out often but i love these ships and i have a mate that loves building and not flying so he builds them and i stuff them...
