That boats only 9" long, has a motor the size of a pencil and a 5 amp speed control.

Oh yes the Reef Racer 2 over that any day. For slightly more you can get a wildcat that can be upgraded.

OK if this is something younger kids are going to be running I would suggest something like a Reef Racer 2. Not the fastest things around but are real good for kids.

If its going to be adult...

I guess the O.P. has to decide if he wants a plastic "toy grade" boat or if he wants a "hobby grade".

Personally I wouldnt give a toy grade boat unless it was to a child.

Your NOT going to get anything worth a crap (worth buying) for $50. $100 is a REAL ROUGH go.

While I was at the Toledo Show there was a guy near one exit selling EPP/Depron "FOAM" plane kits. He also had an airboat and I think it was a cat. It had a wood motor mount and a rolled/bent...

The Impulse 26 is a plastic boat. The motor and ESC is not brushless. Not what I would call "Fast electric".

www.hobbypartz.com is where I got mine.

Motor KV will be decided on your cell count and how you want to go.

For mine I focused on higher RPM overall and smaller props. Im at almost 40K RPM...

My Bolt hasnt seen water in forever. Its just to rough every time I get to the quarry. Ive had it up for sale...

I also buy from Fightercat and Kintec.

Not hard to believe. My local hobby shop has no clue about 95% of the products I buy. They dont stock basically anything...
