RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

In the case of this heli it is (well, the reciever is 1/4 the function of the 4 in one), it doesn't apply to all. More expensive birds have separate units to handle each task, the cheaper ones have...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Don't feel bad, I'm still trying to break the habit of dropping the throttle when I get into trouble, works well with ground vehicles, not so much in the air. My sim controller is still in a box...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Wow, this thread is still going strong. Springs finally rolling around so after a long winter and a move to a new apartment, the Falcon came out of it's box today. Gave it a once over, charged up the...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

LOL, I can see no better way of crippling a King II than by installing the stock Falcon motor on it, wonder if it would even get off the ground?

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Ok, just need some confirmation. My F40 has maybe 15 flights on it, I have 3 batteries, 1 original 2 brand new, none of them will lift the heli more than a foot off the ground, I believe the stock...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I wish some better battery technology would come along, I was on my local fire dept for 20 years, retired as a captain, and these things scare the crap out of me! Having to soak them in salt water to...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

X2, Mike goes out of his way to help people here, if I need something for my Falcon 40 or HBK2 and he has it, I buy from him.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I've heard of some people affecting electronic devices, like some people can't wear a watch cause it doesn't keep time while they wear it, I wouldn't rule it out, besides, you have the proof, saw it...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I've been doing pretty good with the training skids, decided to remove them and see how things went, not well at all! I don't have a smooth surface outside to fly, just a paved bank parking lot that...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I suppose it could be percieved that way, wasn't my intent. Happens alot on forums, you can't tell someones mood, some people see a suggestion, some see harshness. I added a smily face to the post to...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Yeah, we heard you the first time, why not try the marketplace rather than posting it here twice in 2 days (that's how I traded my nito truck for an HB King 2), in most forums it's frowned upon...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I lost that stopper as well, once you put the Super Skids on use a half of one of the pieces of clear rubber tubing from the old skids.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Creteus, I just got my F40 last Friday and got an extra battery, one of them was bad and at full charge would get me anly a few inches off the ground for maybe 60 seconds. If you only have 1 battery...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Personally if I replaced the stocker with a better motor I wouldn't bother with that board.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Mines a bit squirrely as well, but I figure if I can learn to control that, i can learn to fly anything :)

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It's taking me a bit to get used the required finesse a helicopter needs as well, definitely can't slam it around like the nitro truck I sold to get into heli's :D

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

It's definitely some kind of problem. The F40 had it's maiden flight today! After doing some simming on Clearview all Saturday, and tuning and tweaking the bird, on Sunday I installed the training...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

That sucks, between your post and mine it seems they can't solder very well over there.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

You could just lengthen them by soldering in additional wire, but I would replace the entire length with one piece from the motor to the ESC.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

So I got my Falcon 40 yesterday, not sure what the circuit board on top of the motor accomplishes, but it has the worst solder joints I've ever seen (where the wires attach), the positive wire isn't...
