The quickest way to finish breaking in and engine is get it running on the plane, go to full throttle turn in the high speed jet till the RPMS max out and start to drop, turn it hi speed needle back...

Most transition problems are a low speed jet too rich, start and warm up the engine with the glow igniter on it, let it idle a few seconds, pull the igniter off, if the idle slows down the low speed...
