My guess is that you are correct, these have to be gun pods. I actually made the front nozzles on the barrels appear to be guns. I think the Chinese over-scaled these a bit and may have mis-labeled...

Good idea on the fix for the wings. Re the gun pods, we tried to find from various Tucano sites whether or not this a combo gun pod and auxiliary tank. The pod seems unusually large for a gun pod....
