The Elite is somewhat overweighted and replacing the steel rod is a good idea, as it weighs in at 100 grs (3 oz.) I friend of mine bought a 8 mm carbon rod and sand it to fit on a drill.

Have you found a relation between pop-offs and camber control, like adding flaps or full trailing edge camber?

Another one, does the wind have any influence with pop-off? I've seen...

In AutoCAD I use the Scale command to switch between metric and imperial units. The scale factor is 25.4 or 1/25.4 depending the 'way'

It does work OK as I print the parts and the measures...

Do you tape the wings? When the wings are joined some electric tape would add strength to the join. In my case I used the stock joiner and then glue the halves. Never had a problem and I have...

If you're talking about the wing joiner, in my case I'd use plywood, or aluminum sandwiched between plywood. Plywood is very resistant to shear forces.
