you really do not want holes in the tires, a good super soft compound tire like the Panther cougars with Panther memory foam will suit you best IMHO.

I Would say the hyper engine... it is a better engine in my opinion... I have never cared myself for HPI engines, they are allright, but have been problematic for me. My hyper .21 is a little beast...

The Hyper 8.5 is a newer platform than the hyper 7, newer design more or less... As far as .21 or .28, .21 you will get better top end as it hits higher RPM, the .28 will give you more low end...
