It's still nearly 2 pounds heavier than mine,which weighed in at 9 Lbs 15 oz, with a Dle 20 and heavy shock absorbing mount. What is making yours so heavy?

I use my 6exp with a skysport for a buddy box. Works great. You just need the square plug to round plug cable.

No, once you activate it for a particular model memory it stays on for that model unless you deactivate it again. It's pretty easy.

Make sure you have trainer function enabled on 6exp settings. Default is off. You need to turn it on.

Packed it up and took it to the field. Went to put the wings on, no wing tube. Left it on the bench in my garage. [:@]. Will try again next weekend. Probably for the best it was pretty windy today.

Ok, got my new DLE 20 running the other night. Now that the ignition problem is fixed it fired right up by hand flipping it, no starter required. This is my first gas engine. Some observations:

5 to 6 pounds does not seem unreasonable for this kit. I would not worry about it. I'm sure it will fly great at that weight.

It was plugged in all the way. I even had the little clear plastic safety thing on it... I don't get it.

Pretty sure I just eyeballed it. got the ends lined up and glued those first, setting the proper dihedral angle with the dihedral jig, and then went back and glued in the rest of the ribs making sure...

Thank you all that is some good information! So if If I plug the ignition module directly into the battery and short out the white and black leads on the hall sensor wire then I should get a spark...
