RE: IMAC web site

All systems are go! May want to check your CPU muffler bearing or the hood tensioning solenoid thermostat controller? Maybe the oscillating fan piston pump reduction nebulizer too!

RE: Quick scratch built sloper

RE: Finishing & Painting Elapor Foam

You can use a fine sandpaper like 600-800 then use a water-based paint to spray.

I've had great luck with the Tamiya line of spray paints as they do not interact with the foam molecular...

RE: Sailplane to Entertain My 3 yr Old Granddaughter

A simple hi start would suit you just fine. The link is not mine, just showing you can get them cheaper than msrp.

They are nice and gentle so no worries about anyone being scared.

RE: Better to build straight wings or wing with some turn up near the tip.

OP are you talking about turning the wingtip up or down by way of front to back as in leading edge down trailing edge up "Twist" as it were, or are you talking about sweeping the wingtips upward as...

RE: older 35% 232

It's a fine aircraft. You'll just want to keep the speed up on it a little more than the newer models as it has a bit more of a tip stall habit.

RE: Best flying Edge 540

I don't know of a 540 that doesn't fly well.

It's kind of inherent in the design.

Can't go wrong with AW and there's plenty of support and history, something you may not find elsewhere...

RE: Looking for Newbie pilots to explain why you suggest motors on gliders?

Do you like touring bikes, beach cruisers, or mountain bikes.
One of the biggest problems of our hobby is we tend to get bored and start over-analyzing or trying out other things.
Just do what...

RE: Old Sailplane in need of new CANOPY

Oops. I missed that it is ep. Yep your best bet would be to find the HAN1480 but the glider version may work.

I believe this is discontinued but you could try asking the marketer.

RE: Cometition sailplane?

As you know with all competition type events, you gotta pay to play with the big boys.

The top plane I've seen right now is an "Aspire" brought to you by Larry Jolly. (Full House)

Otherwise...

RE: Aero-Works high quality not apparent on SLOW website.

I just went in and simulated a plane purchase with cart updates and got between 9 to 17 second response time so AW's site is not the problem.

It may be your computer or carrier.

Though it...

RE: How much wind needed for slope soaring?

That plane is not for a newbie. Fly a wing around for a while and get a feeling for the lift bands, where they are at, and how strong they are.

RE: FUtaba receiver

If I am on 72mhz I use the Hitec receivers in situations like these. The Electron 6 or Slim 8 receivers are perfect for this size and work very well. Otherwise the 2.4 AR "6" or "7" series will do.
