Second run. Now with the standard radio equipment.
I have made some minor mods to the thottle lever on the transmitter.

True, the dog might be in danger in front of the car.. :)

I think conversions are more fun than both Nitros and cars made electric from factory.
Feels like nitros can take more punishment...

Sorry for not updating in a while.

After some minor problems I have now got the car running.

The setup is a bit changed and it will probably be even faster now.

A little update again.

I found out why I toasted the old ESC.

The problem seemed to be the amount of "poles" in the motor.
The standard setting in the ESC was "2pole inrunner" the motor I...

The HiMoto Rancho is also pretty much the same as the Avalanche and the Rattlesnake?

I took a look at your pictures and it looks like its the same chassis and such..

The piniong will reach, the mount is built so that the motor can slide towards the differential.

I will probably upload some more pictures later today.

Will have to get another ESC though...

Update: 2008-11-24

So here comes a couple of pictures of the new engine mount.
It's made in 8mm thick alloy.

I have also rearranged the radio equipment (servo and receiver)

The only problem I see with having a mecanical break is that i dont have enough channels in my radio.

I can probably use a Y-cable to connect a servo to the brake. :)

Yes, the ESC is from a plane but the brake is really good in it..
It is programmable so it has got three brakemodes - Hard, Medium and Soft or something like that.. :D

For the mount I am going...

Ok, this is not really an Avalanche..

The car is a HSP Rattlesnake which is the same car as the Avalanche.

I am going to post info and pictures during the conversion.
