RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

Well I bought both sets... With the Traxxas rear sways not only do you need to drill holes in the rockers, but also they hang over the back of the truck in a vulnerable position, so that even if you...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

Nope, not really. You need the larger 2200 combo which has more torque and is meant for monster trucks rather than light buggies with direct drive gearing. You could probably make the 2650 version...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

I had no end of problems using the combination of the extended rear arms and Traxxas steel CVDs. Destroyed 10 stock diffs and 2 RCM hybrid buggy diffs. But the minute I went back to stock arms, the...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

Yup.
:)
Personally I don't use the LT rockers, you just need to put the Silver/Blue springs in (that come with the truck) and you can raise the ride height one notch if you want, and you are good...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

They didn't come with instructions when I got them, but it wasn't too hard to see that there wasn't a slot for the little upright bit of chassis to fit into, as you can see in these pics of the stock...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

np :-)
Just so you know, to fit them in the E-Revo (rather than the Revo) you need to do a little dremmelling of the chassis, but it really is nothing difficult or structural. The other thing to be...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

Yes, that's the one. I don't use a power supply, Ijust plug it straight into the mains. But you can power it from a 12v source if you want.

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

Well there will be as many answers as there are E-Revo owners :-) but personally Iuse a Bantam e-Station BC-6 charger and I love it. And for Lipos, I say Zippes all the way. I have a pair of Star-RC...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

You certainly could get an E-Revo and upgrade - I did that, and you get the fun of doing it gradually and in the way/order you want. BUT it will cost you way more if you do it that way.

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

You know what, personally, for mostly bashing I would say the E-Revo is the better choice. The waterproof really is useful (both for the bashing and the cleaning), and on the E-Revo the drivetrain...

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread

Hmm - lots of questions there!
Waterproof? Yes, the E-revo really is waterproof, I always hose it off after use. I take no precautions when I have a brushed motor in there, and when I have the...
