RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

the virt with the ST90 is pretty good... well depends on what you want i guess. 15x6 zinger pro had very nice pull so long as you had momentum. Same with the APC 16x4W.. They both seem to go and go...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Next tests are going to be messing with the CG some.

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Empty tank (very low) makes the plane a ball to land that is for sure.
I think im leaning to doing the incidence mod on the main wing. Would this help much with slow high angle of attack (Harrier...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

So anyone else have a lot of trouble with the coating on the plane? You iron out all the wrinkles and make it tight again. Then you take it out in the sun and bam its wrinkled mess again. Though its...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

ST90 (90 2 stroke) is working fine. If you want something to do crazy 3d and stuff you might want to look at another plane or expect to find places to remove some weight.

I would say the 4...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

Yes it seems the plane had difficulty sinking. It just would not go down w/o a little persuasion.

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

The plane flys very well. Landings are not as easy as some planes but nothing awful. There are some things to iron out to make it easy yet.

With a ST90 (not yet running...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

For the tests

I would buy a few OS 91s and a ST 90s and...

RE: Phoenix Extra 330S 60-90 Size

My calculations are from using Real Flight 3.5.

I have been going off of a "Real World" ref engine (ST-90 w/ 0% nitro) that has a 14x6 3blade maybe a 14x7 3blade running at about 10.5K RPM at...
