RE: Sig P-51B gas+build thread

Good luck finding one. I ordered mine last November. I finally found one in Atlanta, GA and had it shipped to me in July. As far as gas goes, you may want to try the small Saito gas engine. Every...

RE: which four stroke would you go for?

My 1st 4-stroke was the Saito 1.15. It was $60 cheaper than the OS 120 sitting next to it on the shelf. 10 Oz lighter and similar output. My LHS said they haven't had a Saito come back with a...

RE: Sig P-51B Mustang

NoFlaps,
I saw your build on this bird. Any tips or things to watch out for before I get out there?

The Genesys power system works good. I still have a 1700mAhr battery for the Rx. The...

RE: Phoenix Dolphin, How are they?

Been flyin one for about 6 months now. Great 2nd plane. They come with all control surfaces pre-installed with pinned hinges and the covering was near perfect. You'll have it from the box to the...

RE: H9 Spitfire Engine Choice

Thanks. I ended up putting a Saito 1.00 with a slimline pitts muffler. I'm still breaking in the engine. I need to run another tank or two through and get it leaned out.

RE: 2nd plane!

Take a look at the Phoenix Models Dolphin 40. Low wing semi-symetrical tail dragger. $100, flies great, and a lot of the work is already done. I changed the wire gear out after the 2nd landing.

RE: Heres a question for you pros

If the old stripes are self adhesive (stickers) you can desolve them with CA remover. A little rubbing alcohol on a paper towell, then some windex should get most everything off. Once everything is...

RE: Good Handheld Rotary Tool

I've had one of the below Dremels for several years now. It's small and enough power for most everything I do with my birds. I have had to clean the contacts for the switch and adjust them once. ...

RE: Not enough prop?

I started breaking in a new Saito 1.00 today with a 15x8. I know things are still running pretty rich, but the best I could hit was 8800 rpm. Plus I'm at 5200 ft. above sea level. 15x6 is in the...

A while back someone wrote "The more you have in the hangar, the less likely she is to notice the new one."

My wish list is filling quickly. My wife and kids got me a H9 Spitfire for fathers...
