Man I haven't checked this thread in a while.

Yeah the Sabre dance bit me the first flight. I didn't read the part where you launch at full throttle. I launched at about 3/4 and nosed it right in...

RE: Rustler getting way to hot

It also depends on what type of surface you are running it on. In the grass, it will get smoking hot quick. I ran a 4600 in mine for a while and had to gear it like 15/86 and it would still get close...

RE: Project Slash

Nice build. I noticed you used 3000wt diff oil. That's awful thin. Are you going to race this truck? I won't run anything less that 100K in mine.

RE: Rustler getting way to hot

More info needed. What KV is the motor? If it got hot enough to burn you than that motor may be toast. If you get it close to or over 200°F, it will damage the rotor magnets and it will be more...

RE: ?TRX or HPI?

Definitely get the aluminum turnbuckles and pushrods. The stock fixed plastic ones don't offer you any adjustment. Also pick up a pack of the Traxxas Steel Hollow balls for the mini revo to replace...

RE: Great Planes F-86 Sabre Micro EDF

Thanks for the replies. I checked the CG of the plane and even after the epoxy job it seems to be very close to the book. But I weighed the total weight of the plane with the battery installed and it...

RE: Great Planes F-86 Sabre Micro EDF

Hey guys just picked up one of these little beasts the other day and took it out for a few test flights. The first 2 attempts were busts and I nearly destroyed it. I gave about 3/4 throttle and...

RE: New Savage X 4.6 owner with a couple questions.

Yeah I need to adjust my shift point also. Shifts too early. Yours may be doing the same. Does it have a good bit of speed when you're running it? Easy way to tell what it's doing. If you have it set...

RE: 2s lipo for 1/24 losi brushless sct

I use these http://thetoyz.com/Batteries-Chargers/Batteries//Thunder-Power-RC/13430/ and they are great for the price. It seems they are out of stock but the part number for the battery is on that...

RE: Losi 1/24 sct steering problem

Is there an Expo setting on those radios? If so try running it at 100% and see what happens. On some radios turning the expo down will actually cut the servo throw down some.

RE: HPI Savage XL Powered by Gasoline Engine Release Date?

I was looking forward to this truck as well but decided on the 4.6 SS kit instead. Tired of waiting for it and seeing no improvement of it actually being released. Me personally after seeing them...

RE: New Savage X 4.6 owner with a couple questions.

Slipper setting should be 1/2 or 1/4 turn out from snugged down all the way. As for the hard starting issues it's common on new engines. The factory settings are very rich. I just finished building...

RE: Exo Terra build questions and comments

My kit had a revision for that step adding the washers you are referring to. What those spacers did was lower the height of the steering drag link so it wouldn't rub on the front drive cup (which...

RE: What electronics for axial exo?

I run the Castle SCT Race Pro system in mine with the 5mm shaft 3800kv motor on 2s and it's plenty. It's pretty darn fast with that combo and the motor and ESC don't even break a sweat. You'll have...

RE: micro t: 3s lipo wont work at all

There actually is no arcing at all inside a brushless motor seeing as how there isn't any brushes contacting the rotor to create an arc. You can run them WOT all day if you want as long as you don't...

RE: micro t: 3s lipo wont work at all

Are you still running the 5 wire stock servo? If so unplug the servo and then see if the throttle operates normally. If it does, then you may need to run a 3 wire servo.

Also what brushless kit...

RE: savage xs initial setup

4s lipo may be the problem. That esc can only handle 3s max. It may be going into an overload protection and not allowing the ESC to arm. If you have a 6 cell nimh you might be able to get the ESC...

RE: Mini Revo and Flux XS size comparrison (pix)

Mine runs just fine in the grass even with the stock tires. It wasn't the best but it did work. Now it will go even better with other tires than stock. I run Pro line 2.2 buggy rear calibers (all 4...

RE: 3.3 LIFE SPAN

Mine lasted about 3 gallons on TRX fuel. Never split the rod, the piston/sleeve just wore out. It would get to 200°F then just stall. I will say the 3.3 is not the best motor in the world but really...

RE: Nitro/Gas mixed!

Gasoline will turn a nitro RC motor into a little grenade.

The reason you CANNOT run gasoline in a nitro motor is because gasoline does not need as much compression to burn and is more...

RE: Just ordered an Axial Exo

I didn't have any issues with the dog bones on mine popping out. The only issue I had on mine (and watch for it in your kit too) was the steering drag link was too close to the front center drive...

It won't matter what gearing he runs. Running that ESC on 4s, he may as well kiss it goodbye.

RE: 1/16 E-Revo (MRV) overheating?

How hot is "screechin hot". Without actual temp numbers it's hard to say. Some people may think 150°F is screechin hot but that's a fine temp. You'll want to stop running it if it hits 180°F,...

RE: Official Losi Micro SCT Thread

A little update on my truck. I ordered a new 8750kv motor for my truck along to go with the Spektrum receiver and the Xcelorin ESC I installed. I put a 10 tooth pinion on the motor and setup the LVC...
