Although this may sound like a good idea, it isn't. At least if you are going to race. It will make the boat slower.

I manufacture 9 different classes of R/C boats. Most are controlled by class rules. Those that only allow fiberglass are doing so to keep cost lower. The IOM does this, My IOM is built from S-Glass....

Thanks for the reply, Lets start with the comment about the expence of the AC class. First the AC is over 80 inches long and 30 lbs vs 68 inches and 21 lbs for the 1.7. Next and more...

Right now the only company producing boats is Great lakes R/C sailing. Short kits are available. Attached is an intro letter. It explains how this boat came about. Also, they are working on...
