RE: getting my gears perfect

Both sets of advice sound correct. Its just that its for 2 different settings. The mesh between the spur gear and pinion gear can be set with a piece of paper. The slipper clutch should be set by...

RE: Why Why Why!!!????

You might want to check your tank for leaks. My buddys Revo was doing the same thing. He filled up and started it, then noticed tiny bubbles coming from the side of his tank. Just another thing to...

RE: Has anyone received their Evolution 26GT gasser yet ?

I just got mine a couple of days ago. Mine only has one magnet. It does have the LED that is suposed to blink the RPM. The instructions mention that you need to multiply the observed RPM by the...

RE: KATANA . 50 Is it too heavy ?

I have been flying mine for a while now. I have to say, I like it. I have been having engine problems, but as ussual it was my own fault. I just got it fixed, but its been too windy to fly. I...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Vs. Model Tech Magic

The 46 wouldn't get you much pull out power. It would fly fine, but I wouldn't try to hover it very close to the ground. Another consideration is the CG. I have a Satio 82 on mine and it still...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Vs. Model Tech Magic

I have had both. In my opinion the Twist is a much better plane. The Magic came out when 3D first started to get really popular with the masses. I believe the Twist is a much improved design over...

RE: Katana 50 ultra-RC anyone flying this ?

Well I got mine in the air. Technically its a 50 size plane not a 40. My 52 drags it around very nicely, but its definitely not a 3D plane. I am not trying to tell anyone there business, but I...

RE: Anyone heard of or flying WORLD MODELS .50 GROOVY F3A

My buddy has the Groovy 3A, he has a OS50 on it and he still had to add a couple of oz to the nose to get it to balance. But the ST90 is about 10 oz more than the OS. I think you would need to add...

RE: Katana 50 ultra-RC anyone flying this ?

I have mine built and ready to go, but I am too big of a weene to go out in the cold. Mine came in at a hair over 6lbs too. I have a Magnum 52 2 stroke in it. I didn't really get it for 3D, but I...

RE: Maidened my Mach II

For the money, I have yet to see an ARF that is even close to this plane. Last summer, I almost wore mine out. My buddy has one with the OS 46LA. He uses a 11x6. Cuts down on the speed a little,...

RE: KATANA . 50 Is it too heavy ?

I have not finished my Katana yet, but I put everything on the scale and it was 5.5 lbs. I did not have the cowl on. My engine is a Magnum 52 with a pitts muffler.

Just so you know, my engine...

RE: ENGINE POWER & ON BOARD GLOW PROBLEM

My first guess would be a bad glow plug. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but a fully charged Nicd should be about 1.4 volts and its dead at about .8 volts.

RE: Landing Gear

I found a neat way to land my Adreniline. Just point it into the wind, cut the throttle (I don't have any brake set on my ESC) and give full up elevator. With my setup the Adreniline will stay...

RE: What plug for TT Pro .46?

Another vote for the OS8. I used the OSA3 for a while, but I blew my last one out in the field and only had a #8. I put that in and never went back.

RE: Getting shot down

You might want to check your RX or battery. Or maybe the other guys transmitter is having a problem. I fly channel 58 and another flyer at my field used 56. There hasn't been a single glitch. ...

RE: Power Line Edge 540 3D

oh, I might add to anyone that read vanman's original thread, that is why I got this plane. If anyone wants more info, I can take some pictures.

RE: Power Line Edge 540 3D

I have a few more flights on the plane and I can say that I like it more each time I fly it. I put a 13x4W APC prop on my 52 and it really smothed the motor out at mid throttle. It still turns it...

RE: Sportsman Avation - Aero Princess

RE: Super Tiger 90 Low Speed Needle

I kinda had the same problems you are describing with my ST 90. Although, I think part of my problem stems from only having about 3/4 of a gallon through the motor. I was using an OS #8 plug. No...

RE: Thunder tiger 40GP replacement carb

The Thunder Tiger GP engines are bushing motors, with air bleed carbs. I have the 42 GP. If that is the same thing? After a crash, I was thinking of replacing mine, but it has a weird flange...

RE: Vibration 2 stroke vs 4 stroke

Very cool idea. A glow genset for your train. In general, a 4 stroke has more vibration than a 2 stroke. I am not sure about diesel. I would think that the 4 stroke would sound much closer to...
