RE: JKA P-51 First Flight--UPDATE Picture!

Wow, blast from the past. Yes a full range receiver is a good idea. The objective is to keep it close, but it will get small in a hurry so better safe then sorry. I had a TD in mine, it had plenty...

RE: WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR 2007?

Let's see...

Build my Pat Tritle Clipped Wing Taylorcraft kit. Scratchbuild a brushless racer that will give CP & Scudrunner a run for their money [>:]. And finish a design contest plane if...

RE: Electrics killed 1/2A?

Careful. Take a look at some of Pat Tritle's creations. I know, he's only one of the greatest modellers of our time, so I guess he's not quite the average electric flier. But you can't say that...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

Not at all, I have a hard time keeping up with these threads sometime too.

Nothing new to report here, I've had Hal Debolt Livewire (reduced) on the bench for a while for indoor flying. But I...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

You're right CP - streamlined planes haven't been worth the extra effort thus far. I'll try something that is more durable and for my next rev-and I'll get capcitors going to the case as well.

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

Yeah this thread alone might not be the best gauge for that :D. 1/2A is rooted in a competive class for IC engines up to approximatley .050 in³. So a .049 engine is a 1/2A engine, a .051 is...

RE: Micro Warbirds-Cox's Redemption

It's in stock - reading through the manual provides some hope that an R/C conversion would be possible without destroying the model. Any takers?

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

Wow - that's gotta be a great sound. Let me know when you have a home for that engine - I'd love to be a spectator when you run it.

I agree, we can and should keep the electric racing going-as...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

Well it's been a while since I weighed in, which is entirley due to guilt, but I thought I'd share a few pics of my second racer. Within about a week after the flying we did here in Lake City area I...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

Glad to hear your latest model is a sucess CP, it looks good too. Your model has almost twice the wing area that my v1 racer had, how does the speed compare to your delta? I was shooting for...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

That's a great thread SR77, thanks for the link - what craftsmanship!

I agree CP, plugs would be the way to go for a pod - we could just churn them out. I've been wanting to learn more about...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

Ok...I'm looking for some advice. I like the pod/boom profile, but I'm not sure how to do it justice with a quick balsa build, I also like the more traditional profile, and I know how I would build...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

I'm curious to see how the Graupner CAM folding 4.7 x 2.4 performs (http://www.hobby-lobby.com/camfold.htm). It should be similar to the 4025, but perhaps with a bit higher current draw with the...

RE: NW 1/2A RACING SEASON !!!

That was a lot of fun guys, both of your planes flew very well - I wish I could have kept mine in the air long enough to get some real racing in. Next time....[>:]
