Yes!! All Wren solenoids are now a lightweight all brass bodied valve, with a quality gold plated connector!

Scott,
I use a 5 cell nicad on the test bench (6V). Valve is normally off and held open with voltage. You should be able to hear the valve click open when you apply voltage. Do ensure that you...
