Rumor, I have run a few 55's in a cowl with a slimline pitts muffler with no such problems. When tuning for twins, check, check then check them again. Keep them a little rich.

Why would you want to reverse the direction of the nose retract?

I guess if you ask the same question a different way, somebody might give you an answer to something that has been discussed extensively. Like you said, time well spent.....Used to be you had to be...

46's will fly it but nothing for reserve. I have 50's in mine and wish I put the 55's.

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

I ran a Y for the wingtips into another Y to the tail which went to my switch. I used a MERS switch from Hanson Hobbies that connected to the gear servo to control the landing light. I could not...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

I use the same switch, tail and wingtips on main power switch to let me know plane is on. Seperate switch for landing light activated by gear servo. Looks cool with light coming on as gear come down....

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

I would NOT imagine that Top Flight did anything about the issue of the wings. Considering how many planes were sold and just a handful of problems that could be attributed to any number of things....

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

When using the Bisson mufflers, you have to cut the exhaust staks to clear the nacelles per the instructions. These are extensions that you tap the flange and can screw in after the nacelle is in...

I ordered mine a long time ago also with no reply from them lately. I guess they don't want to sell products.

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

It's not that the 46's won't fly it, they do. But there is nothing extra. Even my 50's are ok but they don't haul it around with authority. I have seen the 55's and that is exactly what I said, I...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Since following this thread from the beginning and after flying mine. I would say the 46's fly it ok with nothing to spare. The 50's are better (which is what I have in mine) but I would prefer the...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

I used the extensions after trying to keep the rubber ones on. I have never had any luck and there is only a small shoulder to grab onto. The extensions just screw in, safety wire and forget them.

Not to say that some people are have problems, but mine was one of the first pre-release models and it has been flying fine with OS 50's, flying of a grass field. Maybe thgey got sloppy as time went...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

I think 3 mishaps is not enough to pull the panic alarm. I know of 4 of these planes flying in New England ( mine included ) that are flying fabulously. This plane floats ever so gently on landing,...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 310 posted

Read back thru the thread, I believe the result was that one fits fine and another is a little tight. I have 50's in mine with no problems, but may upgrade to the 55's.
