RE: Converting a Nitro Stampede to a Nitro Rustler...Help!

Its borderline not worth it. Chassis, fuel tank, steering linkage, body mounts, and trans are all different.

RE: Tmaxx 2.5 overheating.

I find the "factory" setting have the LSN too lean and the HSN too rich, perfect recipy for an overheating crappy running engine. I run my LSNs on the rich side and HSNs on the leaner side. Engine...

RE: serious issue with t-maxx 3.3 please help

I have used the hoseclamp method and it does not work worth a crap. All it does is mess up the sleeve. If you want a good pinch, have Ray@rayaracing do it. He does a great job and only charges around...

RE: rc trucks sitting for years

I find the biggest problem with nitros sitting is the fuel in the engine turns to gum and locks up the works. Sometimes you can put some after run in the carb and let it sit and they will break free....

RE: vote for worst monster truck !!!

What a ridiculous thread.

Threads like these prove nothing at all other than there are haters of certain trucks.

Edit, I decided to randomly pick a truck so I voted for the savage as the...

RE: need new motor for my Tmaxx

I had an .18CVRX years ago. Absolutely hated it. Sold it and bought a 2.5R which is still going to this day.

IMHO, I would send the .15 into traxxas and have them send you a new 2.5R for $85....

RE: savage 25 motor in a tmaxx 4908

You would spend more trying to get that motor to fit than a new 3.3 would cost.;)

RE: T-Maxx Model 4910 New in Box

It's probably going to be a collectors item in a few years. It was the first nitro 4x4 MT with an internal 2 speed tranny that was made by a major player.

RE: Tips on a tmaxx

I bought a newer tmaxx 2.5 used off the traxxas fourms for $130 and I love it. Been beating the heck out of it and it just comes back for more. Cracked 1 front $5 skid from impacting a big rock after...

RE: E Revo or Revo 3.3??

The revo does use wider arms. Revo 3.3 arms are much longer than revo 2.5 arms.

RE: New to the site/question about Traxxas items

The 3-4sec rules goes for pretty much ANY nitro engine. It is not good for any brand engine to hold it at WOT, screaming at top revs for extended periods. It will blow crank bearings, break piston...

RE: Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL?

Didn't realize that the slash 4x4 costs 370 now. Thought it still was at 399.

RE: Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL?

I doubt it will be 350 anywhere in the near future. The slash 4x4 costs 399 and it is based off the slash 4x4.

RE: T-Maxx 2.5R IMPOSSIBLE to tune.

Your LSN is too lean like I though. You should be around 3-4 seconds.

RE: Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL?

No thanks, I need a bomb proof basher truck that I can get parts for everywhere. Exactly what traxxas makes.:D

RE: Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL?

Wow, the traxxas haters are out in full force tonight.

I personally think it's cool. You guys are complaining about the price, but it's BL, 2.4GHZ, and 4x4 AND doesn't need 2 batteries like...

RE: An open letter to Traxxas

Hmmm.... currently their site is down and I get this message when I go to their fourms:

Wonder what they are changing?

RE: New to the site/question about Traxxas items

Nitro stampede or nitro sport. Both are tough little bashers that love small backyards. The pro.15 in them is indestructible too.

RE: E Revo or Revo 3.3??

OWBs have been almost a non-issue on the 2.5 and 3.3 engines. I just traided in a really tired 2.5 that still has it's original OWB in it.

I think you could have been cleaning the OWBs rather...

RE: T-Maxx 2.5R IMPOSSIBLE to tune.

Well, ash or not I agree that the engine needs castor. No arguement there.

Problem is that a LOT of general fuels have too much oil in them. You really don't need much oil if you know how to...

RE: Tmaxx basher

Loose all that integjunk aluminum. Grab a set of traxxas aluminum bulkheads , chassis braces, and bigbore shocks. Keep the stock skidplates.

Traxxas engines use O-rings. They do not leak unless they are torn or damaged. If it is torn or damaged,...

RE: T-Maxx 2.5R IMPOSSIBLE to tune.

The old traxxas stuff did have castor oil in it. I am not sure if they dropped it or not though. Caster makes a LOT of ash inside your engine, but is a great lubricant. Synthetic burns clean, but...
