RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

On a track yes, as you slow down into a corner, with lighter springs up front more weight will transfer to the front giving more steering. For bashing and high speed runs it'll be less effective lol...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Adding some weight to the front will help add a little more steering. You could also lower the front ride height. Lighter springs and shock oil up front will all help also. :D

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Any "high current" connectors are good. Power Poles aren't very popular in the rc car/truck world but are definitely a viable alternative, especially if you can't or don't want to solder.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Unless he was talking about those cheap little crimps (not sure of the name) ??

But in a Power Pole there is absolutely nothing wrong with a good crimp.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

LOL I've a similiar one as yours Red and I haven't used it for months. Lately, I've been using my 90W Radio Shack soldering iron with a worn-out tip and couldn't be happier :D

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Soldering's a snap once you've learned the knack of how to do it properly. With all my 1/8 stuff I use EC5 connectors and with my 1/10 rc's my preferred method is to plug the esc directly into the...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Do yourself a HUGE favour and buy the $39. If you buy the $12 ones it'll end up costing you $51 as the $12 are useless and you'll end up eventually ordering a $39 crimper, and that's without...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Where'd you order from Red?

A couple yrs ago I ordered a decent sized bag of power poles from powerwerx.com for a decent price. They seem to be the power pole headquarters.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Yeah, I was up there about a month ago for the day and it is a good track. It's definitely suited more for 1/8 scale. I was running my SC10 around on it and wasn't nearly as fun as my Ve8. The 30...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Just be careful which Crowd Pleaser body you choose. I think you need the one intended for the Associated T4.......don't quote me on that though. I have one (wayyyy back in this thread somewhere)...

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread

Depending where the crack is, you can also use a piece of lexan instead of the drywall tape.

For small cracks that've just started I don't even bother drilling any holes at the endpoint of the...
