grinding noise in outrunner at mid rpm

I have a Tacan Bigfoot 60 outrunner, that has a grinding noise about midrange in rpms. From 0-4000 it is smooth. From 7000 up it is smooth. The mid range is very noisy and grinding like it is...

I had them in a 30cc extra, and they worked well, but the centering was off. I believe they are reliable, but maybe not real precise for pattern.

Are metal gears necessary for gas planes? I am building a gas pattern plane with a 20cc DLE, and am not sure if metal gears are necessary?

I have tried them in a extra 300 and found the centering a little off. Maybe with smaller arms, they would work. Are metal gears necessary with gassers?

Cannot find any canopy for this Yak. Maybe someone can steer me to someplace that would have one, or a part left over from a bad landing etc.

I would like to know if you have to use a LiPo one flight only, then recharge, or can you make two or three flights on the same charge, without damaging the battery?

Looking to build Great Planes Cherokee. About 8lbs. Have an 80 amp ESC, looking for a motor and battery combo that will fly it well. Not 3d, but better than scale.</p>

I want to put this axi into the Hanger 9 Pulse 125xt. It weighs about 10lbs. I'm converting from nitro, and need help on esc size, battery volts and milliamps. The last part is what propeller to use....

Great Planes RV 4 calls for a 91 4cycle. It flies pretty well with it. Is a 26cc gas motor to much for it, and will it fit?

I wuld like to know what the best choice for power would be between glow 2 cycle, 4 cycle or gas for sport fying a 80+ inch plane, in the 10-12 lb range. Assume that the cc's are the same, 26-30.
