The set screw is tight. When I apply pressure to the brake arm the plate flexes but it still does not stop the car at all. It worked earlier that day without a hitch and then all of a sudden wouldn't...

I am new to RC's and I am having some problems with my brakes on my volcano sv. They worked fine earlier today but then they stopped working all together. Even if I use my finger to push the brake...
