Great advice! I’m going straight to brass sleeves with 4-40 hardware. The stock pins are pretty but not practical as she ages.

I don’t think it’s either of those. It looks like a two-piece clip that is press fit in place. It is solid all the way around.

Been awhile, hope everyone is doing OK. Noticed that the pressed fitting ring for my YA right main gear 'knee' pin has disappeared. Anybody know what its called and how I could replace it?...

Interesting, My YA nosewheel strut has a (shorter) 1/4" shear pin with 1 setscrew in the strut and 1 in the trunion. Maybe a design change late in life for the YA P-38??!!

You are right they are very close. I think the Xoar blades are a bit thinner at the hub and more tapered so that's the way I'm going. At this point I'm in so deep with $$$$$ a few more bucks...

If your transmitter supports Flight Modes, this might be an easy solution.
Set up FM1 for landing and slow speed ELE trim, then FM2 for normal flight ELE trim.
Just have to remember to flip...

True, The P-38 is somewhat unique in its engine rotation setup. Both engines are more critical than standard counter rotation setups, but both are still equally critical.
