From what I learned, pulling a full vacuum is absolutely critical in vacuum infusion. Anything less and you're just messing with Darcy's law. At that point you're just moving resin through air...

VARTM or Vac Infusion is a very easy process that yields comparable end product to prepreg. The trick is to pull a complete vacuum at 30" and using resins that aren't any thicker than 250cps. I've...
