RE: Club 40 Rules Enforcement

It may be helpful if someone assembles data containing the dimensional specifications for the 40 size engines available. If we know bore, stroke, Carb throat diameter and (other?) We could share...

RE: Georgetown RC Club 40 Race Nov 13 2010

So, I havn't even raced yet, and already I need to find a way to mill down the 46 head to match the gap of a 40 head? This is getting more and more difficult!

RE: Georgetown RC Club 40 Race Nov 13 2010

I'm just looking forward to having fun, and I hope I don't cause a mid air collision by over cooking my turn durations. I too have wondered about what tools would be required to enlarge the case to...

RE: gassers and metal gear servos

That servo is listed at $85 each! (instead of towerpro at $10 each) Use 5 servos and for the difference of $375, you could buy a spare gasser engine. That sounds like expensive insurance that I...

RE: gassers and metal gear servos

RE: Georgetown RC Club 40 Race Nov 13 2010

Bob,

I have re-attached the muffler with gasket sealant to prevent the oil seepage from the gap that damaged my firewall. I have reinforced the firewall and fuel-proofed it. I even epoxied the...

RE: Georgetown RC Club 40 Race Nov 13 2010

I won't be fielding a plane. Unfortunately I have not learned how to keep the wing attached to the fuselage when I go to full throttle with my SuperTiger 40 (with the secret prop selection). Maybe...

RE: CRRC PRO GF50i gasoline POWER

Really sorry to hear about the problems. Maybe the bearing failure is due to an alignment problem? Due to a bend in the crankshaft or an irregularity in the crankcase where the bearing is mounted? ...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

to use an inductive timing light, I imagine that the best route would be to put some heat shrink tube around the base (ground) of the spark plug. Then extend the ground path using a wire from the...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

Well 1 Gallon is 128 oz, and 32/128=4. Yes, 4 oz to a gallon for mixing 32 to 1 ratio gas to oil.

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

How do you check the timing? Do you put the degree circle on the shaft with a propeller, then use a timing light strobe?

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

The spark will perform differently under compression. Air is an insulator, so when there is more air (compression stroke of an engine) more voltage is required to make the spark jump the gap. So...

RE: CRRC 40cc kit

Sounds like carbon "tracking" on the plug's insulator, effectively shorting the plug gap. If this is what is happening, the solution is to run with normal oil content and a normal (not rich)...
