You are correct, leave the fuel tank as it is. It will work fine. The manual does mention this mod for the 160 twin on that page.

Isn't this where the mod is for using the 160 twin? On it the carb sits very low and the fuel tank does have to be moved to the bottom of the fuselage so it won't siphon fuel out.

14x8 is not enough load on the engine, stay with 15x8 check valve clearances and run 20%nitro fuel, have, run many with this set up and they love it.

That is an old free flight trick (prop on backwards) too keep the airplane flying slow to figure out what trims are needed.

The Cline unit bears no resemblance to this one. It works with both muffler or crankcase pressure; if using the Cline on crankcase pressure you need to install a one way valve to keep tank...
