err yes and yes.
When you get a 3 foot long rod it does appear to be a bit bendy.
But once it is cut down to 9" lengths it seems just like my turbo shafts.
Have a go the rod costs under 1...

I don't think you can.
Buy any metal head upgrades off flea bay for a couple of quid.
I used sssoooo on flea bay and the top bit to hold the fly-bar in place is a bit out.
But nothing a bit a sand...

Make your own shafts, a lot cheaper.
Get a 2mm steel rod cut it down to 9 inches or thereabouts.
Put some flat spots in the right areas, jobs a good 'un.
It really is quite easy to do, even I did...

You can, but you said without any other upgrades...
If you use a 1000mAh on standard motors etc you run a risk.
Of blowing/degrading the motors.
If your going to do it and upgrade get some better...

Yes &no.
You can but be careful they don't have a very high "C" rating.
Or obviously a different voltage.
Try it, and when you blow up your motors buy some better ones.............lol

Strange one.
I went the other way and went from stock esky to 1000mAh 20c.
Then brought 3x 900mAh 15c.
I have arriving another 3x 900mAh ??c soon-ish.

I had my lama up outside last night I used...

Hi mike,

Just a thought...
Are you tightening them grips right down or do they have the play like they used to with the stock blades?

I'm waiting to blow these ones up then I'll buy the...

I glued up the stock tail, I haven't received the flexi one yet.
I'm with you on the new motors. Only when I need them.
I do have a BAD habit of buying upgrades for the sake...

As I'm not in the USA, I'm in the UK.
I have used Aliciajay & ebay so far.
I have a couple of plane shops but they don't...

I got my Lama.
Within 2 days I had it outdoors???
You know what's coming the wind picked up.. I lost the tail.
I have cyno'd it back on and it seems fine.
