was the shaft bent? or otherwise damaged, if there's a little sharp edge on one of them they might have just nicked the o-rings again and messed everything up anew...

use any all bearing oil, and lube doesnt really matter but i wouldnt advise mixing them...

IIRC the venelion was designed to use 5x10x4 bearings, if so they would not fit...

That said ceramic bearings are superior to metal ones, allowing more RPM and usually machined to tighter...
