If you turn your mount 90 degrees the muffler will exit out the bottom and not be as noticable. I installed a magnum .91 on a T-6 this way last year and it only needed a hole the size of the rocker...

I used a Sullivan MLG and added a block under the aft end of the tank compartment, removed the nose gear, installed a larger rudder. the CG did not change. It flew great.

Bingo!! I put the mlg at the leading edge of the wing on mine. I used a sullivan .40 sived tail wheel and added .5" to the rudder. It flew better than the stock set up. It make a great tail dragger...

I usually get a kit, arf or engine around the same price as the arf to be assembled. Glue, new hardware and the like are extra at cost and I keep any leftovers.

Thanks,

I plan on using thinned latex for the top coat and seal with the poly. I will do some test panels and see. The big think is the fuel proof qualities of the poly in the rattle can.

Clear coat

Has any one tried Minwax Plolyurethane in a rattle can as a clear coat over other finishes to fuel proof thier plane? I used it on my field box last year with no detectable problems.

I had my second start on a PT- 40, use the rubber band option and the sport wing. And contriary to what anyone says it will fly inverted just fine if you hold lots of elevator to hold it in level...
