No, as soon as I got the stitches out I went and got another glow plane...

Cubbie's not...

My hand is healing well (stitches outthis Friday), and I've...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Another nice flight with the Superstar 40! I took it out of town and flew it "outlaw"from a back road in the counrty. Such fun! It flies good. The wind started to pick up...pretty soon there was a...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Fun fun fun.  Good flight stories.

I took my Superstar 40 and the SC to a "proper" field last night.  A member met me there and helped me set up the glow plane for its maiden, and I flew the SC...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Frankencub went up again tonight.  I had a small group of people watching this time (about 9 or so) which made me a little nervous.  Frankie flew great...I just flew easy around the park and made a...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

Ithink any rc grade rubbers will do. The HZones are a rip off. Igot a box of 100 from the LHSfor $5 and use them on the SC and my Superstar 40. The SCdoesn't need much...4 is fine. The Superstar...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

So, I'm a bit comfused about outrunners.  What would be relatively similar to a 400 or a 480 brushed motor?  Most brushless motors are rated in amps, like 18A or 25A, or output wattage.  I checked...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

I would say not, although the plane handled so differently than the SC that I couldn't really tell. I had to fight to keep the nose down, and there was a bit of wind. The elevator and rudder had lots...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

You are right, maybe I'm being a whimp. I put a ton of work into that plane and would hate to see it go down on the first flight (it's balsa, not foam), but just the same, if it doesn't fly what's...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

???? Good question. Is the battery old? I think the 3-cells are good for 200 charges or so, but I recall you are using newer batteries. Could it be an agingthrottle slider on the transmitter? Or the...

RE: Official Hobby Zone

LOL - it was a figure of speach. I think gear reduction is more appropriate for a Cub anynway...it's not exactly a sport flyer. One way or another, mouting the SC480 is easier with a gearbox. I asked...
