i'm thinking of using a stinger aswell, the 70mm stinger will be ok

the typhoon motors a 1900kv instead of the 1800kv they print the specs with, thats why i run it on 3s in parallel...

i suggest buying a new 4mm flex shaft with liner and stuffing/brass tube, order it from allan at astecmodels.co.uk, 4mm shaft will give you far more available props mate

so your saying stick with low kv motor and 3s in parallel, sounds good to me, i think i might go with the typhoon motor as i have one in my 25" hydro and that goes well on 4s

i run 2x 3s in parallel, getting the same 11.1v but doubling the mah for longer runtime, mines all stock apart from a 120a watercooled/proofed esc

mines glassed in on a watercooled mount with a 380XL motor (2881kv i beleive) 4mm flex shaft

graupner do threaded 2 blade CF props, i have a bunch of them

possibly, binding and to big a prop will cause heat issues, i have a 35mm prop on my mono

what motor is it ?? take the rear endbell of and check if its shimmed to tight, i took one shim out of the back of 3674 keda motor and cut the temps in half

i'm running mine on 4s, 5000mah batts, its possible your motor was working to hard, i'm assuming the motors watercooled, check all inlets and outlets by blowing through them, what size prop are you...

shiney new hardware, bit worried about the motor mount sides not being up to much si may make them bigger make a back support for the motor with a jubilee clip or something maybe even some cable/zip...

thats how i start, mount the hardware first then the motor and everything else after that, i rodered all my hardare a week ago and got it all today, i stayed with 3/16th as i have the coupler for it...

nah, its 3s 3000mah, my 5000mah does'nt work (for some reason) my charger says 'connection break' when i try to charge it, my other two 3s are 2200mah, so i have 3 to mess around with
