I am letf handed this is what works for me.from the front with the prop at 11 oclock  I flip it with a down and to the left movment.

I forget what size stand offs I used ,but all I had to do was notch the firewall a bit to get at my high / low needles.

If the spark is to advanced it will cause a kick back. sounds like you are getting e<font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">rratic spark. hope some one else can help you out with a new ignition...

If you have fuel running out the carb and can feel the <font face="Times New Roman" size="3">compression . My bet is the problem is  ignition.
Yours sounds just like my dle30 does when the battery...

my DLE30 has a little over a gal. though it . with a 18 x a 3d prop i am only getting 7500 rpm . that  is about 500 less then what every one else is posting for that prop. I have a pits muffler on it...

I have a 120 yak with a DLE 30 in it . the c of g is as per the manual 3 3/8 " and the rates are set up as per the manual. It flys fine except I have find it very pitchy . even on low rates i barely...

Yes you can rotate the carb 180 degrees,  and you must  make so you do not rotate the plastic spacer or the fuel pump will not work. People have played with the timing.
