ALFIEV, yes that is a bummer for sure. I don't see any solution for it. But maybe there is another flying field somewhere that you can visit too. Unfortunately if someone with a Lipo pack in their...

I see no reason to change anything in the engines, unless you just really want to. I would not use ceramic bearings as they are way too fragile for a RC engine especially a four stroke engine. Leave...

That is pretty neat that Pardal machined a new connecting rod for the engine. Nice job then. it does look pretty good too. I can see that as being a good solution for a undersized crankpin and wrist...

Yeah I remember quite a few people with Ford Escorts having the cam drive belt fail at highway speeds with the obvious consequences of the pistons and valves making contact. For whatever reasons the...

Well it is likely a toothed belt, so its highest stress would be at idle. So the teeth on the belt would strip off at idle. I used to have a Chevy Chevette that like clockwork every 12,000 miles it...

Well that is a bummer. Better to order more locally than overseas as I think the shipping may be less.

One could likely get a welder to weld the intake manifold back up. Then machine the flats for...

I was thinking that the engine wasn't lubricated well before it was test run. Thus the damage may have occurred mostly in the first engine run if the cam and lifters weren't oiled to start with. Hard...

I think I would try to store the engine upright and nose down so that the oil would tend to migrate to the bottom end and crankshaft. But yes you are correct in that the oil would migrate to the...

One other thought is that if the engine is suddenly acting up, you ought to check the valve gaps on the engine just to ensure they haven't changed too much. The valve gaps can quite easily change...

That fuel spitting is normal. Pretty much all engines will do it. They call it reversion. It is the cam shaft design, mainly the duration of how long the valves stay open causes it. The more...

I usually use a 2100 mah LiFe battery pack for ignition purposes. With my engines and their CDI modules that works out to around three hours of flying time before I need to recharge it. In my...

Hobby King has started selling the NGH 38cc four stroke engine now. So it will undercut the dealers more now too, as they are selling at a lower price than the dealers can.

With all inverted engines, if the engine stays inverted when not running for a while, the oil inside the crankcase will slowly migrate to the lowest point inside the engine. So you need to store your...

The newer carbs should be using better materials to make the diaphragms from. But there could be cost cutting with the low cost engines though. Fortunately they are using carbs that are compatible...

RE: NGH 38CC 4 stroke
