RE: Everything Radial Engines

Have you perused this thread yet? http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6767296/tm.htm
I assume they have corrected the issue by now with the crankpins being overhardened but it may be worth checking...

RE: Everything Radial Engines

Wow, that is a major bummer for sure. My condolences go out to the owner of it. It is a shame it died.

RE: Everything Radial Engines

It is amazingly smooth. In the videos I made, the little fuel tank jar does not even jiggle any when the engine is running, even at WOT. The three cylinders actually balance each other out quite...

RE: Everything Radial Engines

The WOHM radial diesel engines are made by a fellow in Germany named Wolfgang Hoepfner.
It takes him about 14 days to make a engine. My engine is engine number 22 of this type.
He just makes the...

RE: Everything Radial Engines

Those super sized RC biplanes are pretty spectacular. But I don't know, I think I would be too tired to fly them after all the effort needed to get them to the flying field, then assemble them, and...

RE: Everything Radial Engines

You know that 62% giant Stearman brought back memories of people wanting me to do their maiden flights on their planes in the past. I sorta got where I hated to do it, as if something went wrong with...

RE: Everything Radial Engines

Wd-40 is good for cleaning out and flushing the engine insides and it makes a good temporary lubricant, but you need something better to lube the rods, pins and stuff with. WD-40 is too light of a...

RE: Everything Radial Engines

if you had purchased the engine from HobbyPartz then it very likely would not have any brand markings on it. The generic engines they sell do not have brand markings on them. The factory would have...
