yes th p is for pitch, i would only use 64p as its teeth are smaller and more prone to small rock and debries getting jamed in them, i use 48p becauseim mostly in the parking lot or somewhere...

ok so your internal gear ratio is 2.25:1   so you are going to want a final drive ratio about 10.5 -11.5 as drifting isnt super fast and need more of tourqe than a top speed.  so pinion 17t 48p...

ok sounds stock  with  50/50 equal pulleys front and rear.  for the 27t and 29t motor gears (pinion gears) do have a little set screw on them?

figured i add when getting a motor try make sure its a 540 size can,  not a 380. and  not 380 rotor inside 540 can either. as might have problems over heating. if that makes sence.

That i am unsure of, i am not to familar with HPI's. im using a 15t 48p pinion and a 87t 48p spur gear. my tc5 has a internal gear ratio of 2.0. not sure of what your hpi is tho.  what pulleys are...

Hobbywing Xerun 60a USB Link, Computer Program Ability?

Awsome : ) How do you think the 120a ESCwill hold up to 2000kv motor?

I am waiting on the buggy yet, i belive it has stock spur gear. I will pick up extra pinions.

Thanks. That pretty much clears it up for me, I was also reading on another forum about that, but they didnt quite put it in thos terms.

ok, but my 120a ESC has max 4s input.

with a 3s 5000mah 30c lipo it would be. 5000 x 30 = 150000/ by 1000 = 150 (meaning the batteryshould be goodup to 150a esc right??

Now just to match ESC...

yup already have a program card,
 so what do you think about the esc holding up to motor??
Motor Specs Says Max Amps 120a, thats tested at 7.4v correct?
So going up to 3s it shouldnt draw as many...
