Yes I did, but the calculated number MAY be more accurate. On the ground you have the wheel friction, and ground effect, and some other things, and the real test is in the air.

I got 10.5 pounds of thrust (on a 20cc) but I know that is due in part to friction on the ground, etc. The Vess pulled about 1/2 pound more than the APC. My Ultra Stick is 8.1 pounds with the 20cc...

What does the calculator say for a Vess 16-6 at 8300? I don't have my laptop handy, I would like to see how it compares to test. Thanks!

I just measured the 20cc model, it was easy. I just used a fish scale and a dog leash. Although I do not want to highjack the thread with 20cc data, it is very easy to do. It really helps make a prop...

Yes, but they are very,very similar, identical ignition, carb, etc.

Here is a video of the RCGF 20cc on a H9 Ultra Stick 60.  I misspoke in the video, it is a Vess 16-6 not 16-8.  I have flown it 4x with this, but with a different prop and it was not tuned really...

A "6 volt" battery charges to over 7 volts, and the Rcexl ignition will die at anything over 6 volts. However, the IBEC that came with mine (from TBM), regulates the voltage to about 5.8 volts.
