The battery is fine however the esc and motor will get hotlong before its dead(2s optimal) and the plug shown is wrong. You will need 1 female traxxas plug for battery, assuming that you already have...

Ideally you really only want it to bottom out on the biggest of your tracks jumps. That way your still soft enough to handle the bumps else where.

I think the center diffs problem with 3s is the case is not aluminum, try the one fast lane machine makes.
