yeah you are right, I have a 46 NT and I love it, but I must admit that it won't last as long as any OS engine... OS engines are easier to tune than any other engine and that is a fact  but sometimes...

lol..  it could be worse for sure. I remember some time ago, when I was starting at the hobby, I was playing with an old battery pack at my bed (don't ask me why ) and somehow the + and - leads...

what about the GP Cherokee ARF? it's a very nice looking plane, it flies great, at low rates it behaves almost like a trainer and it is designed for glow or electric power.

what about the hangar 9 .40 Twist? I have one and it flies pretty cool.  you can also take a look at the hangar 9 .36 Tribute it's a pretty cool plane as well.

guys.. did you notice this thread is almost 3 yrs old? i really doubt the OP is paying attention to this anymore :P

but still, anything over a .55 4S engine is not recommended :P

those are both .46 planes. I live at 6200 feet and here you can fly any 60 plane with any 60 engine.

ok guys I did put a piece of fuel line on the needle asembly and nothing changed, but I changed the O rings and then it worked good, after a little tuning I was able to get a very low and reliable...

MDS .46

I got this MDS 46 engine from a guy who didn't have any interest on RC planes so the engine was sitting there for a long time, not sure how long, but it was all rusted and the O rings are like...

the only thing I don't like about the nextar is the price, for 80 - 100 dlls less, you can get the tower trainer RTF or the Alpha, I would get the alpha.

someone told me once that the starting point should be something like this:

remove the intake fuel line, then put another piece of tubing, close the LSN until it stops, then, blow with your mouth...

I believe the easiest way to identify if you have the FS or the FS II is that the FS II has the black rocket cover, the FS (or surpass I) has it chromed.

if you'vebeenplaying with the needle valve already, you should get it back to it's factory settings. this should be arround 2 1/2 turns from the fully closed position but you can check your manual...
