RE: RC Plane And RC Helicopter Collide Mid-Air

Oh how typical...there is always some caustic tub of social mash, resplendent in his entitlement poised to asign blame and litigate for compensation. This may work on Wall Street, but not in the R/C...

RE: 2.4 ghz Jammers

Also illegal is to cross-thread the face of the no-lifes who are caught jamming R/C activities. We had an incident in which a car load of toilet-bowl-children were driving past the club field with a...

RE: Throttle Servo Choices

I have wasted several of those little blue servos controlling the throttles of the three MVVS 26's on a VTOL UAV prototype. It was not the gears that quit, but the circuitry. The HS 81's do just...

RE: Help! Support your Ducted Fan here!

How about an RFB Fantrainer that flies 116.5mph with an OS .25, or 140 with an OS Wankel?
Or a 4-foot Starfighter that flies 160mph with a K&B .21?
Or Tom Hunt's Vertigo VTOL with an OS .46 VXDF?...

RE: Anyone built a Vertigo, designed by Tom Hunt?

I have written an article (and submitted it to MAN) that is 1600KB in PDF format, and unless you know how to get something that size posted on here, you'll have to have me e-mail you a copy.

I...

1/2A Fantrainer

Oh, it'll fly!!! It will fly just fine. Just make sure it's balanced where he says it's supposed to be, and that everything is straight and true, (and securely attached) and fire it up and throw it!...

1/2A Fantrainer

Notice the Prop Nut is made from a 6mm nut driver bit tapped in a lathe for the shaft, in this case, 1/4-28. Engine is an O.S. FX .25, aircraft is a Green Hangar Fantrainer .25.

RFG2 Q: Did they switch the impala from piezo to HH in an update?

Impala is in "normal" mode when the Idle-up is set at "Hover", and in HH when in "Idle -up" on my G-2 as default.

Vertigo

I am using the 9-5 Zinger (wooden) as specified in the design. The VX turns it about 20k with the muffler I am using, and that is about 8k less than O.S.'s unbeliveable rating of 28k. It likes living...

Vertigo

By far the most reliable and linear D/F engine I have ever run has been the O.S. .46VX-DF, and it's in my Vertigo. Reliability and linear response are paramount in a VTOL engine(s) of any sort,...
