You'd have to use the li-ion setting and watch it closely. It's a pain, but maybe can stop it at 4 volts during the charge and note the resting voltage. I'd reluctantly recommend this for A123...

You didn't mention a specific charger, but most lipo are 4.2 max and li-ion is 4.1 and the A123 is I think 3.7

Since you'll have to stop it manually it won't matter. Using the li-ion setting will "overcharge" the battery less though if you happen to forget to stop it because it will stop at a lower voltge.
