RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

I'm with you. I can see adding the bearings making them smoother, but they're pretty thick and don't seem to flex stock. Don't see any benefit in replacing them unless they change the progressive...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Do you have any experience with that radio? I have two, and they do everything they claim to do. Better range than my "premium" radio too. It can be a pain not having a screen, but once everything...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

I know what you mean. It's a pain in the butt. For that reason I have a big pile of ebay crap in the corner of my office taking up a good bit of space, including my barely used dx3s.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Thats a shame. Do you run in alot of dirty terrain? I've never had any diff problems with mine and I bash at least once a week. Maybe the first one was bad luck and after that it was just a setup...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

When you say you need to replace the diffs, what constitutes a broken diff? Are they clicking and popping and slowing the truck down? Running 3S or 2S?

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Don't do it unless you have a huge, open flat space to play with. I have one and its a blast but I don't use it much because of this. There isn't really enough room to drive it around in front of...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Yeah, get futaba or even the traxxas link radios. Stay away from the spektrum stuff. It's hit or miss whether you get a good one with that. I went from spektrum back to the traxxas link, since I...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

You really just got to range test it somewhere wide open and see. Mine did. At least the failsafe kicked in and it would stop...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Novak ain't all bad. I love the smoothness of their sensored systems. The Havoc Ballistic 3S in my TB02 hasn't ever given me a lick of trouble and it's insanely quick. A drift machine, on any...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Joe, i think the next most feasable option for the big E-revo is going to be that mamba max 1/10 that you have. Its only $96 more to get the monster though, and its considered a 1/8 package not a...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Just saw you were running it in the merv. I'd look at the mamba micro pro for the merv, and the mamba monster is whats in the e-revo brushless editions. I'd bet you're not running up to speed due...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

It doesn't have the ability to save settings for multiple motors at once. If you use castle link, you can save your settings in a file though, so at least you could load them back quickly in a few...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

I'm pretty sure it works just like the other castle escs, where you can program it via the esc with a series of lights and beeps kind of like the traxxas link radio, or get the castle link system and...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Yeah, same here. I don't run 3S really. 2S is way more than enough power for the tracks I run. If I ran 3S I'd just break more stuff, and it isn't fun changing the pinion back and forth all the...
