RE: Robbe F14 Marine Radio

I am not sure what you mean by twice as much.

When I got my F14,a single Robbe encoder and decoder cost more than the F14 radio.
You are after a minimum of three,no?

RE: Robbe F14 Marine Radio

There are 3 spaces for multiswitch or multiprop modules.

Can you not work with something like these switch units?

31 prop channels means 31 servos and a bill of about €1,000 for the F14...

RE: Revell 1/72 VIIC, how much ballast?

Oh Crap,I said wrote plastic weight...damn.I should read my own posts more carefully.
Robert can suggest a better method other than tacking the three main sections together, ballast to waterline and...

RE: Revell 1/72 VIIC, how much ballast?

Robert,I did the iceberg, the sluice gate and all manner of conundrums and was taught how to solve them by force diagrams. That is how exam properly couched questions are done.No debate over what the...

RE: Revell 1/72 VIIC, how much ballast?

No I meant your internet ramblings about making the parts for your first static diving sub.I rarely enjoy articles of that nature.

I heard of Archimedes. That is the principle I am following.I...

RE: Revell 1/72 VIIC, how much ballast?

I just measured the weight of the hull and made an estimate of the plastic weight above the waterline.I am sure of the physics.

RE: Revell 1/72 VIIC, how much ballast?

Water weighs 1kg per litre round here;)

I should have said that I enjoyed your sub write-ups,Rob.

RE: Revell 1/72 VIIC, how much ballast?

Volume of water ballast in litres = weight of the superstructure above the waterline.
Is this an exam question,Robert? You built a sub before.

RE: Noob with a few questions - ESC, Motors, props

What your time is worth,I'm not sure.
Ebay might turn up a ready-to-go battleship complete with toy like radio control.
What could be more fun than that?

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

It just requires a bit of fortitude sometimes.
Fleet radios allowed both throttles to switch to one stick. The problem is you forget if you don't have an led to remind you.
Based on your...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

It may not require further input.

Signs to look out for:
If there are three wires to the switch and disconnection of the centre causes channel 5 servo to centre and fight attempts to reposition...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

I suggest starting a new thread elsewhere with photos of the handset internals. It is likely to have the NE5044 seven channel encoder chip. You may be lucky because that may allow substitution of the...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

Happy silver anniversary.Transmitter channel 5 can be modified by a new switch and voltage divider resistors.

Edit.
I make out receiver FP-Rxx .
Futaba and Spektrum are makes that used < 3...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

I agree on the benefits of your present arrangement so I wouldn't bother even if it stopped the problem on the bec esc.
What about measuring the esc servo plug voltage for bec voltage output?

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

You posted before I supplemented my last post.
I was going to say that if you don't have electronic components to hand it would just be easier to rearrange your gear so the proboat escs are not...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

Chalk that one to Umi.[8D] I claim this one on RCG due to the same problem.

Solutions?
I can suggest a bunch of easy fixes that may or may not work.

Measure the unloaded esc bec...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

I better think out loud :D
I read and see in the photos that there are two packs and there is a Y-lead to one channel.
I assume that there is a cut out at near 5 volt and not one that detects...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

Why have you got a switch in the power line?

Are you getting my drift that there is a voltage sensing reset within the escs?
It senses the voltage too low then signals a processor to...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

I read your earlier information, switching off-on will arm the esc and read as neutral.

To my eyes, your latest result is not a surprise and inconclusive. You have sixteen unsuitable plus two main...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

MFR02 covered that aspect with a blanket statement a week ago.

In a transmitter handset with sixteen contacts,it maintains circuit supply voltage where you have contact bounce. On the boat it...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

Are my eyes deceiving me? I have just noticed the rack of battery clips on the D-cells.
Successful replacement with lead acid would show that up as causing the voltage transient.

You...

Check the limit on filesize.
If the filesize is the problem (your image is more than 10kB) compress the image or use one of the two I have made to different file sizes.

With paintshop,which is...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

Ok then.
If you remove the receiver pack you can run a simple test to see if the switches just isolate the red servo cable as UMI suggested.
If she is right then with one esc switch on,the other...

RE: ESCs Stopping without notice

Yup,I read through the instructions.
All I can add is that ,if it was dropped on my workbench,I could have sorted it out while being on the stopclock.
For now,I would ignore the fact that they...
