RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Starter boxes do sound nice, but again it's another thing to lug around and worry about being charged. Also, they seem pretty expensive (for me). At least $50 from what I've seen.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I've been thinking about just going straight to pull start too. The potential trouble of a pull start doesn't seem as bad to me as the hassle of dealing with batteries and another thing to carry...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Sorry to reask this, but I just want to make sure it didn't get lost in the thread unnoticed:
What size/how many batteries would be good to get for the roto start? I'll probably only be running...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Thanks for the info! I think the adjustability of the MT2 just put it in the lead for me. I like the ability to change it depending on what I'm gonna be driving on. And 2+x more fuel doesn't sound...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hello all, I'm looking to get a new rc soon and I'm pretty much debating between a 1/8 buggy (xt2, jammin x1x, picco, or hyper 7) or the MT2. I'm only going to be bashing, and I want something that...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

So i took off the back plate and looked inside today to check for rust. I can't really tell what i've found. Everything inside looks clean except for (what i think is) the crank shaft. It's kind of...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Ok, so I'll be taking off the roto plate soon to check in the case below the piston.

Looking around on ebay I found this T-15 engine...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I'm not sure if they're broken because that's how it is on my f.storm and I recently opened the diff and that and it was fine. Imight not be explaining it right. I'll post a vid later to show what's...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I think it might have been the gear mesh because Itook off the engine to do some work on it and now it's somewhat smoother. I checked both the front and rear diffs. When the car was off the ground...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

yes, bottom right. I just notices that the park between the head and the roto plate is covered in what looks like a red plastic of some sort so that might be making it not head the threads. I'll be...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Okay, thanks. I'll do that as soon as I can.

It's actually not the head that's stripped but the threads. Sorry I didn't specify. At least Ithink that's what's wrong

EDIT:
I uploaded the...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I thought of the lugging extra stuff around, too. I'm not sure yet, but I 've got a bit to decide.

I'm pretty sure one of the screws that holds on the roto start plate is stripped. It's stuck...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Yeah I'm gonna just leave the servos that came on it because they seem to work pretty good. Just need to do some tinkering with the throttle linkage.

Forgot to say that only the futaba servo has a...

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

My mt2 came today :]. It seems alright. But it did come with a half tank of fuel so I'm not too happy about that. I'll be taking the engine apart tomorrow to check for rust.

I tested the the diffs...
