RE: OLD ENYA 120 4C CARB

Dealing direct with Ken Enya himself is the way to go. Good prices, fast service (faster than anyone else in Australia) and he keeps contact all the way through the purchasing process. A big tick...

RE: Kits?

You guys want to try to get hold of kits here in Australia. We had a few homegrown manufacturers, I think they're all gone now. Most hobby shops you go into over here think when you ask for a kit,...

RE: Kits?

I agree. Surely the way the asian arf manufacturers have got hold of laser cutting it would be at least an option to just have someone count out the parts for a kit and package this up. Even just...

RE: Which Engine?

Saito are very good as are OS and others, but if moneys tight, there is nothing wrong with ASP, SC or magnum 4 strokes. Some of the finer points may not be as good as dearer brands but they still...

RE: Which Engine?

I thought someone already suggested that. I still think a 4 stroke would be better but an LA would be a good 2nd bet.

RE: Which Engine?

Cubs are made for poddering around mid throttle and I dont really think the ball bearing 32 and 36's are "right" for a cub.  If budget wont go to a 4 stroke, why not look at a plain bearing 40 like...

RE: The Terrible Tank

The SLEC tanks from the UK are the ducks nuts. The fuel feed line and clunk you set up and screw in to the front of the tank, there are two pressure/ fill barbs at the top and all the hose/fueltube...

RE: Where to put this engine!

I had 2 MDS's , and both died of the same thing. Broken conrods. With both engines, the little end wasn't bushed and they chewed up pretty quick. If I had 2 conrods, I would still have both of those...

RE: Balanced and Blueprinted

I wasnt trying to steal the post and take it to an automotive area, but using this as an example to explain what proper blueprinting was and why all engines arent the same as the original...

RE: Balanced and Blueprinted

Yep, You're dead right, It does reduce the compression ratio. This is just one of the areas you pick up performance by blueprinting an engine. These mass produced engines aren't madeas thousands of...

RE: Balanced and Blueprinted

Actually Blueprinting refers to the original factory blueprints for measuerments rather than using any tolerances. When the engines were designed, an original set of blueprints were developed for...

RE: Super tigre GS45

At the club where I learned to fly, if you turned up with a Super tigre, you had something to be admired. Many of the OS FX's   were crapping themselves early so I bought  the Super Tigre.
 Now...

RE: five-cylinder radial engine homemade from five OS FS-70S II

Good work, far more servicable than a one-off design when it comes to parts. When I started looking, I thought you may be able to cant the engines over a bit to create a smaller profile in the...
